Burgess Hill Community Cycling Project
We are a group of local cyclists who simply want to encourage other, maybe slightly reluctant, cyclists, ex-cyclists, and wannabe cyclists, and convince them that getting on your bike isn't just a green fad, but a serious long-term sustainable alternative to using the car - especially for short journeys around Burgess Hill!
As our town continues to expand at an alarming rate, cycling is high on the agenda for both the Town and District councils, and they are therefor currently very supportive of community take-up of self-propelled transport. As members of the local cycling community, we feel that we should all take advantage of this wave of enthusiasm, and try to get the best deal possible for cyclists while it's a political vote-winner for those that preside over such things.
